From the Park
The historic village of Osmotherley
is a pleasant 10 minute walk. An attractive and thriving village, it
was once famous for the brewing of ale and bleaching of linen cloth.
Osmotherley now offers three pubs/restaurants, tearooms and shops and
is famous “walking country.”
From the gateway of the Park is a vast network of public footpaths and
cycle paths leading onto the North York Moors and beyond. These include
the Cleveland
Way, the nearby Coast
to Coast and the Lyke
Wake Walk which begins at Cod
Beck Reservoir. The
National Cycle Network (Route 65) is also accessible from the Park.
For a more gentle stroll, visit Cod
Beck Reservoir and Sheep
Wash – a popular beauty spot.
