Looking ahead to the new season
Posted on 25 Feb 2024 in News

We’ve had a busy winter with lots happening around the Park, and we have new wardens, Karen and Darren who will be joining us for the 2024 season, helping Pauline as she takes on the role of manager, following on from Jan’s retirement at the end of last season. If you see them around and about the Park be sure to stop and say hello.
The major changes around the Park that have happened over the winter are around the children’s play areas. We have installed some new equipment which we are sure will go down a storm, and if you follow us on social media you will know that a certain somebody has already tried it out – for quality testing purposes only of course… The other exciting additions take the form of water guns, we can’t wait to see the fun times happening this season.
Cedar block has had a facelift over the winter, we have introduced atmospheric lighting, new vanity units, and we have just installed some stunning images on the doors, be sure to check them out when you visit.
We were really proud to have retained our Visit England 5-star rating for another year, awarded for consistently high standards around the park, which the whole team work hard to achieve, and it means that our guests have the best possible time with us, confident that they are in the most comfortable surroundings maintained to the highest possible standards. Once again we received our 5 Gold Pennant from the AA for quality. A true testament to the whole team.
Over at the Mill the team have been working hard throughout the winter. In between the winter maintenance programme, we were pleased to host a choir from the Netherlands, they spent 5 nights with us while touring some of the regions amazing cathedrals. They were an absolute pleasure to host, and we even had a private performance before they left.
Our holiday apartments have been busy through the winter with couples and families enjoying short breaks, weekend retreats and also longer term rentals. Weaver also had a facelift to the shower room with a new shower and bathroom furniture installation.
The major work at the Mill this winter was on the roof, which had started to spring leaks, so we spent much of the end of last year working on that to make sure it was all watertight, that roof is bigger and higher than it looks!
We introduced Gift Vouchers which are now available to buy on our website, and can be used for any accommodation at Cote Ghyll. Not only camping and touring, but also our redeemable against holidays in our fleet of static holiday homes, which offer everything you need and more for the perfect family holiday, and Cote Ghyll Holiday Cottage, which is also perfect for those intimate family breaks, or days away with close friends.
We have two brand new holiday homes for sale, the Atlas Debonair and the Willerby Manor, both stunning examples of holiday home living. Head over to our website to find out more: https://www.coteghyll.com/own-a-holiday-home/homes-for-sale/
