Wow what a season!

It’s coming to that time of year again where the camp site goes quiet and we get settled in for the winter, although not too settled, as we have lots of preparation going on for the 2019 season.
Whilst the Mill (YHA Hostel) and holiday cottage stay open all winter, the 31st October is the end of the Cote Ghyll camping season for another year and what a season we’ve had!
What were our favourite things from this season?
England has seen the hottest temperatures on record, narrowly beating that of 1976 and with the sun, came the happy campers. We have seen lots of friendly returning faces and lots of new ones where we hope we have helped make lots of fun-filled memories for your families.
This season saw the addition of our summer activities program with aerial river crossings, zip wires, bush craft and lots more.
We eagerly await the results of the Autumn White Rose Awards, where this year we have been short listed for Best Campsite of the Year. Whilst we would be thrilled to win, just being nominated is exciting for us!
So are we going to be kicking back with our feet up for the next few months? Not at all! 2019 brings the new static development of 18 new static holiday homes. With a number of pitches already sold, it’s now full steam ahead to get the new development up and running by Spring 2019 and we can’t wait.
A warm thank you to all our guests, returning and new for a fabulous season and we look forward to welcoming you back next season!
