Posted on 25 Apr 2019 in Activities & Attractions
Staying at Cote Ghyll over the half term holidays? Keep the family busy and active by taking part in the range of activities on Tuesday 28th May or Thursday 30th May 2019.
Our activities will be live and available to book on our website by Monday 29th April, for further information call our helpful reception team on 01609 883 425.
The following activities will take place on both days.
9.30-11.00 am woodland archery
Find your inner Robin Hood and test your hand eye coordination with woodland archery. Fire your arrow and try and hit the centre of the target whilst being under the supervision of expert instructors.
11.00 am-12.30 pm abseil and stream walk
Be prepared to go wet and wild and take a daring abseil down the waterfall, but first hike through woodland and clamber through the gully with the towering reservoir above. Guided by qualified instructors you’ll scramble down the stream to the waterfall before descending on the abseil to the stream below.
Continue on an active scramble down the stream before finishing with a deep refreshing plunge!
1.30-3.00 pm bush craft
With food and fire, you’ll be sure to survive the outdoor wilderness! Take part in our brush craft activities and learn survival techniques. Fire is one of the key skills in bush craft. Learn all about how to make and maintain a bush craft fire whilst in the woods. Start a fire using friction – can you sustain the flame? Use your fire to cook, purify drinking water and more.
