Essential Information

What time can we arrive/depart?
You can arrive at our caravan and camping park anytime between 1pm and 7pm (8pm Fridays). If you’re running late, please let us know. If you haven’t notified us by 7pm of any required late arrival your booking will be cancelled.
Departure time is before 12pm (noon). During quieter times, you may be able to arrange a later departure for a small charge, but you must agree this with us before 12pm on your departure day.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome but they must be kept on leads at all times and are not allowed in any park buildings. Any dog mess must be cleaned up immediately. ‘Fighting dog’ breeds are not allowed.

Can we have a BBQ or campfire?
You are welcome to have a BBQ, but we ask that it is raised off the ground to prevent grass damage. Please ensure that you only use BBQ’s in well ventilated areas, and never take a lit or smouldering BBQ inside a tent. Unfortunately, fire-pits and campfires are not permitted.

Can I get WiFi on my pitch?
Yes. WiFi is available from your pitch for a modest charge. You can buy a prepaid voucher from the shop. Please be aware that connection speeds vary at busy times.

Can we bring two cars?
You can bring more than one car to our caravan park and campsite. The maximum number of cars allowed is 2 per pitch (the second car incurs an additional charge as stated on the Price List).

Can we have visitors when we’re on holiday?
Day visitors are welcome, but must be booked-in and paid for at Reception. Day visitors must leave the Park by 8pm. All Site Rules, Terms and Conditions apply to visitors.

How many people are allowed per pitch?
A maximum of 6 people are allowed per pitch (including visitors).

What time is the shop and reception open?
The opening times vary but are generally 9am to 5.30pm (7.30pm on Fridays). Opening times are displayed in the Reception window. However, we try to take phone calls from 9am to 9pm each day.

What time do the shower blocks close and do we need tokens?
The shower blocks are open 24 hours each day and are free.

Can we walk to the pub?
We do have a cafe and licensed bar (only accessible if you are having a meal or takeaway with us) at the adjacent Mill, which provides home cooked food. You can download the menu here. Please check if this is open during your stay.

Alternatively, there are three pubs/restaurants, a café and a fish & chip shop within 10-15 min walk of our North Yorkshire caravan park, in Osmotherley village.

Booking Terms & Conditions

We require a deposit for each booking, and we cannot hold reservations without a deposit. The minimum deposit required is:

The balance is due in full on arrival. You’ll need to pay this to gain admittance to the Park.

Payment Methods

You can make payment by cash, debit card, BACS (sort code: 20-61-46, account no: 53084701 reference: your surname), cheque (payable: Cote Ghyll) or online at

Cancellation Policy (for touring/tents) at Cote Ghyll Yorkshire camping and caravan park:

  1. If you cancel with a minimum 14 days’ notice, we will refund your deposit in full
  2. If you cancel with 7 – 14 days’ notice, we will transfer your full deposit to another booking in the same season
  3. No refunds are available for cancellations made within 7 days of arrival

Are accepted/declined at our discretion.

For fire safety please leave a clear 3 metre gap between vehicles/awnings and the adjoining unit.

These are not permitted.

Security barrier
The barrier is locked at night.

Caravan storage
If you plan to store your caravan at our North Yorkshire caravan site, your caravan must be insured against loss or damage whilst in storage or transit. The movement of stored caravans is done entirely at the owner’s risk. No liability for damage or loss will be accepted by Cote Ghyll Caravan Park.

We make every effort to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. However, if you feel you have a reason to complain about your holiday, please inform us during your stay so we can take the appropriate action. We cannot help you if we do not know about your complaint. If you do not report your complaint until after your departure, you accept that it will make it harder to investigate or rectify your complaint after your stay has ended.

Data Protection
By making a booking for any of the type of accommodation at Cote Ghyll, you agree that we may store and use your information as required to complete your booking and facilitate your stay. We may also use your information to contact you from time to time to inform you of our services. Please advise us if you do not want to receive this kind of communication.

By making a payment or entering onto the Park you agree to abide by the Site Rules and these Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to ask any persons not observing the Terms & Conditions or Site Rules or creating a nuisance, to leave the Park without refund.

All customers, guests and visitors enter the Park at their own risk. The Park does not accept any responsibility for any personal injury, inconvenience, loss of property or damage to property caused outside the reasonable control of the Park owner which may occur when in use, in transit, in storage or when staying at Cote Ghyll.
