A look back on the 2023 season
Posted on 09 Nov 2023 in News
As the 2023 season draws to a close, the nights are getting darker, the Park is much quieter and we start to think about what lies ahead for the winter, to get us in shape for the 2024 season.
The 31st October marked the end of the Cote Ghyll camping & touring season for another year and what a season we’ve had, lots of new and returning guests making memories together, our seasonal customers have had a great summer season, and we have seen lots of new and existing customers enjoying their static holiday homes this year!
The Mill has been busy, so far this year we have seen school trips, youth groups, family birthdays, rugby clubs, football teams, gig-goers, doctors conventions, walking groups, international tourists, climbing walls, discos and campfires – phew!
On the subject of The Mill, we had all new signage, hand made, carefully installed by Jon over the course of this season. It should now be very clear where all of the facilities are within the Mill, and where to find our four new holiday apartments at the top end of the Mill.
This season saw the addition of some fantastic new outdoor seating at the Mill. As soon as the new atrium was completed at the start of the year we knew that we needed an al-fresco dining area, and it has been a great success with Mill guests as well as guests from the Park. On the lead up to the Mill, check the fence on the let hand side, you will see our recently installed defibrillator, which will hope will never need to be used.
We were the subject of a photoshoot by Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome magazine, and we made the front cover when they were here to us the stunning backdrop of Cote Ghyll to launch the new Swift.
Throughout the season we had snow, sunshine, rain and storms, but we weathered it all and the Park has never looked better. This season we had Coronation Celebrations, stream walks, waterfall games, football tournaments, BBQ’s galore, long dog walks, summer games, stunning sunsets (and sunrises), and a shiny Visit England Rose award alongside our AA 5 Gold Pennant. What more could you possible want from your summer?
A warm thank you to all our guests, both returning and new for a fabulous season and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2024!
